Speeder caught at Blakeview

About 8.25am today (Sunday 28 June), police were conducting speed detection duties on Main North Road when they recorded a Mitsubishi sedan travelling south at 163km/h in a 90km/h zone.

Police stopped the car soon after and spoke to the driver, a 22-year-old Evanston Gardens man.

He was reported for exceeding the speed limit, breach of provisional licence conditions and driving at a dangerous speed, he was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice and his car was impounded for 28 days.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
