Police have arrested a man following the theft of a fishing vessel from Cape Jaffa on Friday evening.
About 6pm on Friday 26 June, a Noosa Cat twin hull fishing vessel was stolen from a private property on Cape Jaffa Road.
It will be alleged the offender attached the vessel to a Mitsubishi four-wheel-drive and towed it to Kingston SE.
The vessel was later located in Kingston SE, where the man allegedly attempted to conceal it behind a service station.
Police attended and arrested a 48-year-old man from Kingston SE as he walked away from the vessel.
He has been charged with theft and unlawfully being on premises.
His bail was refused and he is expected to appear in the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court on Monday.
