Rider reported at Modbury Heights

A speeding motorcyclist was intercepted by police at Modbury Heights overnight.

A patrol spotted motorcycle travelling at speed on Kingfisher Drive, Modbury Heights about 12.20am on Monday 22 April and alerted PolAir.

PolAir was quickly overhead and found the motorcycle still riding around the Modbury Heights area.

The bike was tracked until it stopped in Pelham Court about 12.30am.  PolAir continued to direct the patrols on the ground, who located the alleged rider hiding in a bush on in Mary Jane Court.

The 32-year-old Salisbury Heights man was reported for traffic offences, including riding unlicensed, unregistered and uninsured.  He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

The Ducati motorcycle was impounded for 28 days.
