Police investigate sexual assault at Salisbury

Police are investigating a reported sexual assault at Salisbury in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The victim was approached by an unknown man in a park off Orange Avenue, Salisbury, near the Salisbury football oval, about 2am on Wednesday 14 May.

She was assaulted by the man, who is described as of Aboriginal or Pacific Islander appearance, aged in his late 30s or 40s, about 180cm tall, slim build, with short scraggy black hair and facial stubble.

He was wearing a baseball cap under a hoodie, Nike TN shoes and jewellery, including several rings and possibly a gold necklace.

Anyone in the vicinity of Salisbury Oval in the early hours of Wednesday who has CCTV or dashcam footage that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
