07 May 2025 6:41am

Northern District patrols stopped a motorcycle last night (Tuesday 6 May), arresting the rider for a warrant and other offences.

Just before 5.30pm Tuesday 6 May, patrols were driving along Yalumba Drive, Paralowie when they saw a motorbike on the side of the road. Checks on the registration plate revealed that the number plate was recorded as stolen. The patrol stopped and spoke with the rider where further checks on the motorcycle revealed that the plates did not match the bike which was unregistered since the start of the year. Patrols searched the man and allegedly located methamphetamine and other substances in his possession.

Further checks on the man and his licence revealed he was disqualified and was wanted on a warrant and for breaching his bail.

The rider, a 41-year-old man from Paralowie was arrested and charged with various offences including breach of bail, driving disqualified, driving with unassigned number plates and unlawful possession. Further investigation will be conducted into the drugs located on the male and further charges may be laid. The man did not apply for police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today, Wednesday 7 May.
