Arrest over cannabis crop in Ridgehaven

A man has been arrested during an investigation into drug trafficking.

It will be alleged that about 1pm today (Wednesday 7 May), police searched a property in Ridgehaven after receiving information that cannabis was being grown there.

Police located 12 cannabis plants being grown hydroponically inside the house.

A 54-year-old Highbury man was arrested and charged with cultivating cannabis, theft of electricity and possess prescribed equipment.

He was bailed to appear in court at a later date.

Investigations are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
