Update: Arrest after assault at Surrey Downs

About 9.45am Thursday 8 May emergency services were called to Zuleika Street after reports a man had been stabbed by a person known to him.

When police arrived, they located a 77 -year-old man with a stab wound to the neck. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested and charged a 17-year-old boy for recklessly cause harm to another. His bail has been refused, and he is expected to appear in the Youth Court tomorrow.
