Drink-driver caught in Murray Bridge

A man has lost his licence for a year after he was caught drink-driving at Murray Bridge.

It will be alleged that 12.25am today (Saturday 18 July), police saw a Toyota station wagon travelling southwest on Frank Street before colliding with a fence and electricity box at the intersection of Commerce Road.

The driver and his three passengers were not injured.

The driver, a 20-year-old local man underwent a breath test and returned a positive reading of 0.174.

He was reported for drink-driving, had his car impounded for 28 days and was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
