Serious crash Glossop

Three people were injured following a serious crash at Glossop.

About 5.30pm on Friday 17 July, police and emergency services responded to a head-on crash involving two cars on the Old Sturt Highway.

The driver and passenger of a Holden sedan, an 85-year-old man and 70-year-old woman from Waikerie, were rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver and sole occupant of the Suzuki sedan, a 52-yearold woman from Barmera, sustained non-life threatening injuries.

All three patients will be flown to Adelaide for treatment.

Both lanes of the highway were closed between Jones Road and Chabrel Road while local police investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash. The Old Sturt Highway was reopened just after 9.30pm.
