Woman arrested after stolen car found in Ceduna

About 6.45pm on Friday 17 July, police saw a white Holden Colorado ute approaching a level crossing on OTC Road.

The ute failed to stop at the stop sign and continued in a northeast direction. Police activated their emergency lights to try and stop the vehicle but it failed to stop.

Police then found the vehicle parked on the side of road in bushes with the front passenger's door open.

Further enquiries by police found that the ute had been stolen earlier in the day.

Police searched the surrounding area and located the suspect driver nearby.

A 25-year-old woman from Western Australia was charged with numerous offences including illegal use of a motor vehicle, fail to stop for police and driving while disqualified.

She was refused bail and will appear in court on Monday.
