Charges over Renmark assault

Three men will face court after assaulting a man known to them in Renmark yesterday.

About 11pm Sunday 7 April police were called to a home on Grevilla Street after reports of a disturbance. When police arrived they found that the home had been broken in to, the occupant assaulted, and a motorbike stolen.

The victim, a 48-year-old man, was taken to Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Following an investigation a 51-year-old West Croydon man, 28-year-old Noarlunga Downs man, and a 17-year-old Salisbury teen were located nearby and arrested. They have been charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, aggravated assault, theft, and illegal use.

They were refused bail and will appear at the Berri Magistrates Court today.

The victim’s stolen motorbike was located a short distance away and returned.
