Limestone Coast police have been busy on the roads with eight drivers caught breaking the road rules.
About 10.30am on Friday 2 May, police stopped a 23-year-old Mount Gambier man while he was driving on Wireless Road West in Mount Gambier. He underwent a driver screening test and returned a positive result to cannabis. He was issued a three-month immediate loss of licence notice and an expiation notice.
About 4.50pm on Friday 2 May, police stopped a 38-year-old Mount Gambier woman while she was driving on Pick Avenue, Mount Gambier. She underwent a driver screening test and returned a positive result to cannabis. She was issued a three-month immediate loss of licence notice and an expiation notice.
About 9.30pm on Friday 2 May, police stopped a 41-year-old Naracoorte man while he was driving on Stewart Terrace, Naracoorte. He underwent a breath test and returned a positive reading of 0.110. He was reported for drink-driving, he was issued with a six-month immediate loss of licence notice and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
About 9.50pm on Saturday 3 May, police stopped a 31-year-old Naracoorte male while he was driving on Sandstone Avenue, Naracoorte. When directed to by police, the man failed to comply with a subsequent breath analysis test. He was reported for failing to comply with a breath analysis and was issued with a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
About 3.10am on Sunday 4 May, police stopped a 22-year-old Mount Gambier woman while she was driving on Helen Street, Mount Gambier. When directed to by police, the woman failed to comply with a subsequent breath analysis test. She was reported for failing to comply with a breath analysis and was issued with a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date and her vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
About 9.20am on Monday 5 May, police stopped a 19-year-old Renmark North man while he was driving on Clarke Street in Rosetown. He underwent a driver screening test and returned a positive result to cannabis. He was issued a three-month immediate loss of licence notice and an expiation notice.
About 2.50pm on Monday 5 May, police stopped a 19-year-old Mount Gambier man while he was driving on Lake Terrace East, Mount Gambier. Police found the man held a provisional class licence. He underwent a driver screening test and returned a positive result to cannabis. He was issued a three-month immediate loss of licence notice and reported for drug driving and breach of licence conditions.
About 5.10pm on Monday 5 May, police stopped a 55-year-old Mount Gambier man while he was driving on Millard Way, Kalangadoo. He underwent a driver screening test and returned a positive result to cannabis. He was issued a three-month immediate loss of licence notice and reported for drug driving and failing to wear a seatbelt.
