Woman caught drink-driving in Kingscote

Just before 6pm today (Wednesday 30 September), police were called to Franklin Street after reports of a disturbance between a man and woman.

When patrols arrived, they saw a Holden ute driving away from a house. Police stopped the ute and the driver underwent a breath test, returning a positive reading of 0.191.

The 28-year-old local woman was reported for drink-driving and was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice.

She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
