Driver blows 0.278 in Goolwa

A driver has lost her licence after being caught drink driving in Goolwa yesterday.

Police had set up a driver testing station on Hutchinson Street at Goolwa when they attempted to stopped a vehicle at 5pm on Thursday 25 April.  The driver ignored the direction to stop and drove around the site.

The vehicle stopped a short distance away and the driver, a 37-year-old Port Elliott woman, submitted to a breath test where she provided a positive reading of 0.278 – more than five times over the legal limit.

She was reported for drink driving and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.  She was also issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence and her car was impounded for 28 days.
