A man has suffered serious injuries after a crash at Henley Beach South this morning.
Police and emergency services were called to the intersection of HMAS Australia Road and Military Road, Henley Beach South, just after 8.30am on Friday 28 August following reports that an excavator had collided with a traffic controller.
The man in his 50s from the northern suburbs sustained serious but non-life-threatening leg injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The driver of the excavator, a 54-year-old man from Aberfoyle Park, was not physically injured and is assisting police with their enquiries.
Road Policing Section officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
SafeWork SA investigators also attended the scene.
