Driver arrested at Meadows

About 7.40 am on Sunday 26 July, police spotted a silver Holden sedan with no rear registration plates on North Terrace, Adelaide.

The driver failed to stop at a red light at the intersection with Kintore Avenue and police attempted to stop the driver, but they refused.

The vehicle was last seen travelling west on North Terrace.

Shortly after, the Holden was sighted by witnesses on Currie Street driving erratically before it was tracked out of the CBD onto Goodwood Road, South Road and the Southern Expressway.

The driver continued onto Main South Road for a distance before it was last seen at Aldinga.

Cordons were set-up and the vehicle was tracked onto Aldinga Beach Road, through Willunga onto Brookman Road, where its tyres were successfully spiked.

The vehicle came to a stop on Sidler Road, and the driver was arrested without incident.

The 36-year-old woman from Mount Gambier has been charged with two counts of speed dangerous, driving without due care, and failing to submit to a breath analysis. She was refused police bail to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Monday.
