Police have arrested two teens as they continue to investigate recent car break-ins at Coober Pedy.
Between 3am and 3.15am on Friday 25 September, several vehicles parked at a motel on Crowders Gully Road were broken into. Windows were smashed to gain entry to the vehicles where a number of personal items and cash were stolen.
As part of the investigation, police attended a Coober Pedy home on Wednesday (30 September) to conduct a search and located a stolen drone from one of the incidents.
Police subsequently arrested two Coober Pedy boys aged 14 and 15 and charged them with six counts of illegal interference of a motor vehicle and theft. They were bailed to appear in the Coober Pedy Youth Court on 2 December.
Investigations are continuing and further arrests are expected.
