Two men will face court after being caught drink driving in the Ceduna area yesterday.
About 12.15am on Saturday 17 May, police stopped a Mazda utility on Drew Street at Thevenard and submitted the driver to a breath test. He allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.126. Police checks revealed that he held a provisional licence.
A 23-year-old man from Ceduna was reported for drink driving and breaching the conditions of his provisional licence. He was issued with a six-month instant loss of licence and his car was impounded.
Police stopped the driver of a Ford sedan on O’Loughlin Terrace at Ceduna just before 5am on Saturday and conducted a breath test.
The driver allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.211, more than four times the legal limit for a fully licensed driver. He was also a provisional licence holder.
A 32-year-old man from the West Coast was reported for drink driving and breaching the conditions of his provisional licence. He was issued with a twelve-month instant loss of licence and his car was impounded.
Both men will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
