A BMW sedan stolen during a robbery at Gilles Plains earlier this week has been recovered.

Police were called to a car park on Lurline Avenue just before 7.30pm on Sunday 14 June, after reports that two masked men, one allegedly armed with a machete, threatened a man and stole his BMW sedan.

Fortunately, the victim was not physically injured.

The silver BMW sedan was last seen turning onto Milbank Avenue, Gilles Plains.

Multiple police patrols and PolAir searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle or suspects at the time.

About 4.40pm on Monday 15 June, police received information that the stolen vehicle was parked on Balch Court, Elizabeth East. Patrols attended and seized the car for forensic examination.

Detectives are following positive lines of enquiry to identify those responsible for the incident.
