Drug trafficking arrest Campbelltown

A man and woman have been arrested after drugs were found during a traffic stop at Campbelltown last night.

About 9.30pm on Monday 15 June, police stopped a Holden ute on Gorge Road and found the driver to have a cancelled driver’s licence.

Police searched the vehicle and located a bottle containing a liquid suspected to be GHB as well as an amount of methamphetamine.

Police subsequently searched the man’s Paradise home and located further amounts of GHB and methamphetamine.

A 43-year-old man from Paradise and a 53-year-old woman from Hillcrest were arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled drug. The man was further charged with driving while disqualified and contravening a mandatory alcohol interlock.

They were bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 5 and 4 August respectively.
