Driver flips car at Magill

Just before 9pm on Saturday 12 September, emergency services were called to Arthur Street at Magill following reports a white Volkswagen collided with the rear of a Black Range Rover which then crashed the rear of a grey Range Rover, both were parked.

The Volkswagen flipped onto its side as a result of the collision but thankfully the driver and his passenger were not seriously injured. The passenger was taken to hospital as a precaution.

The driver was submitted to a breath test where it will be alleged he returned a positive result of 0.206, four times the limit.

The 34-year-old Rostrevor man was reported for drink driving and driving without due care

He will be summonsed to appeared in the Magistrates Court at a later date.
