Robert and Aileen Eldridge of Para Hills Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) have been named NHW Volunteers of the Year in recognition of their exemplary service to the program.

The presentation took place at the NHW 40^th Anniversary Awards, held at the Lakes Hotel on 23 November.

Robert and Aileen have been involved with Para Hills Neighbourhood Watch for more than 20 years and still find the time and energy to fulfill their current roles – Robert as Area Coordinator and Aileen as Secretary.

Robert and Aileen’s nominator, Eastern District Community Engagement Section, said the Eldridge’s encourage and motivate committee members to participate in community events to help raise awareness of Neighbourhood Watch.

Robert and Aileen are always polite and courteous when engaging with members of the community and are seen as leaders of the Neighbourhood Watch program in the Northern District.

Robert and Aileen are selfless, compassionate and proud of their community. They embody the true meaning of volunteering.
