Learner driver has lost his licence at Bordertown

A man has been stopped speeding by police at Bordertown.

About 7.10pm on Saturday 16 May, police were conducting speed detection duties on the Dukes Highway when they detected a Toyota sedan travelling 125km/h in the 80km/h zone.

The driver was stopped and found to be on his learner’s permit.

The driver an 18-year-old man from Victoria was reported for aggravated excessive speed, breach of his learners permit and issued a six-month instant loss of licence.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
