Update - Fatal crash at Coobowie

A cyclist has died in a fatal crash at Coobowie on the Yorke Peninsula last night.

Emergency services were called to St Vincent Highway, Coobowie, just before 6pm on Friday 10 July, after a cyclist and Holden SUV collided.

Sadly, the cyclist, a 69-year-old Wool Bay man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver, a 76-year-old Norwood man, and his 75-year-old female passenger, were not physically injured in the crash.

Major Crash investigators attended and examined the scene overnight.

The St Vincent Highway was closed to traffic for several hours but has since reopened.

Investigations are continuing.
