Drugs and weapons uncovered at Port Pirie West

Just before 2pm on Monday 10 August, police attended a Port Pirie West home to conduct a search after a stolen iPad and watch were tracked to the address.

Officers searched the home and located the stolen items along with drugs and weapons.

Amounts of cannabis, MDMA, methamphetamine and GHB were seized together with cash and other drug paraphernalia.

Police also seized two gel blasters, an imitation firearm and a Taser.

A 30-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman from the home were arrested and charged with numerous drug and firearms offences, unlawful possession and possessing a dangerous article. They were refused bail and will appear in the Port Pirie Magistrates Court tomorrow.
