Western suburbs man facing domestic violence charges

The victim received hospital treatment for injuries sustained in the assault yesterday, Thursday 15 October.  Her injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Police then attended the couple’s home last night and arrested the 31-year-old man.

He was charged with three counts of aggravated assault and refused police bail.  He will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court later today, Friday 16 October.

As well as facing serious charges, the man was issued a Police Interim Intervention Order (PIIO), which provides further protection for the victim.
