A man has been arrested after trespassing at a vacant property in North Haven last night.
Police were called to a property on French Place, North Haven at 6.20pm on Sunday 5 July following reports of a trespasser inside the premises.
When patrols arrived, they located a man in the roof space of the property. He was allegedly in possession of electrical cable that had been removed from the building, as well as numerous tools in his backpack.
It will be alleged the man violently resisted when officers attempted to arrest him.
No injuries were sustained by police or the suspect during the arrest.
The 33-year-old North Haven man was arrested and charged with serious criminal trespass, theft, property damage, going equipped, assaulting police and resisting arrest.
He was also charged with trafficking a controlled drug as part of a separate and ongoing investigation.
He was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday 6 July.
