Man arrested over restaurant assault

On the evening of Wednesday 24 April, a woman reported to police that she had been assaulted in a Hindley Street restaurant by an unknown man.  Police attended the location but were unable to locate the suspect.

Public Transport Police obtained CCTV footage of the incident and with further investigation were able to identify a suspect.

A 40-year-old man from West Croydon was arrested last night and charged with assault.  He was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
