Break-in at Prospect

Just before 5am on Thursday 9 July, police were called to Prospect Road, after reports a person wearing dark clothing and a face covering was attempting to force entry to businesses in the area.

Patrols attended and located significant damage to the front door of a cafe and a nearby ice cream shop where a till was stolen.

A witness reported seeing a young boy run from the café before getting onto an e-bike with another youth and leaving the area.

Crime scene investigators will attend and investigations are continuing.
