Speeding driver caught in state's far north

A speeding driver has been stopped on the Stuart Highway, south of Pimba, yesterday afternoon.

About 3.20pm on Tuesday 30 June, Woomera Police detected a Kia sedan on the Stuart Highway, Pimba travelling at 156 km/h in a 110 km/h zone.

The car was stopped and the driver, a 25-year-old man from New South Wales, was issued an expiation notice totalling $2,059. He also received a six-month loss of licence and nine demerit points.
