A driver has lost his licence for six months after he was caught speeding at Wingfield this morning.
Just after 11am on Saturday 20 June, a static traffic safety camera operating on the Port River Expressway detected a Holden sedan travelling at 155km/h in a 90km/h speed zone.
Patrols were alerted to the incident and the vehicle was stopped Victoria Road, Osborne.
The driver was submitted to a roadside drug test and allegedly returned a positive result to cannabis.
A 32-year-old man from Salisbury North was issued with an expiation notice for excessive speed totalling $2059 and a six-month instant loss of licence. He may face drug driving charges pending results of a forensic analysis.
