UPDATE: Truck driver arrested over crash at Marryatville

A truck driver has been arrested following a crash at Marryatville that seriously injured two pedestrians.

The two pedestrians were struck by a truck at a pedestrian crossing on Kensington Road, Marryatville just after 8am on Wednesday 22 March.

A 16-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl were both taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital by ambulance.  The boy remains in a critical condition, while the girl has serious injuries.

The 60-year-old truck driver from Ottoway was not injured in the crash.  He was arrested by Major Crash officers and charged with two counts of cause injury by dangerous driving.

He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 7 June 2023.

Kensington Road has reopened to all traffic following earlier closures.
