Update - Man critical after Gawler West crash

About 3.45pm on Friday 23 May, police and emergency services were called to Gosford Street and Ryde Street after a pedestrian was stuck by a van.

A 77-year-old Salisbury East man sustained critical injuries in the crash and was rushed to hospital. The driver, a 21-year-old man from Pennington, was not injured.

Traffic restrictions were put in place at the intersection of Ryde Street and Gosford Street while local police and Major Crash Investigators examined the scene. The intersection has now been reopened.
