A motorcycle rider has lost his licence and bike after being caught travelling more than 100 km/h over the speed limit at Dry Creek last night.
Just after 9pm on Tuesday 8 September, police were conducting speed detection duties on the Port River Expressway at Dry Creek when a Suzuki motorcycle was detected travelling at 194 km/h in a signed 90 km/h zone.
Police stopped the motorcycle and checks revealed the rider was the holder of a motorcycle learner's permit.
The 24-year-old man from Parafield Gardens was reported for aggravated extreme speed, reckless and dangerous driving, excessive speed and two counts of breaching learner's permit conditions.
His was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice and his motorcycle was impounded for 28 days.
He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
