Lives lost revised – Burdett crash

10 Sep 2026 1:46pm

The number of lives lost on South Australia Roads this year has been revised following an investigation into the death of a man at Burdett last month.

Emergency services were called to Boundary Road, Burdett after reports a Holden Ute had crashed into a tree just before 8.30am on Monday 31 August.

Sadly, the driver, a 61-year-old Tailem Bend man, died at the scene.

The man’s death has been determined to be due to other issues.

As a result, the man's death will not be counted in the number of ‘Lives Lost’ on SA roads.

The current number of lives lost is 77.
