A woman will appear in court after she was detected with a blood alcohol reading of 0.282 in Glenelg North.

About 4.10pm Thursday 2 May, police received report from a member of the public, of a driver slumped at the wheel of a white MG sedan on Anzac Highway Glenelg North.

Patrols located the driver, a 40-year-old Glenelg East woman in the drivers seat and was submitted to a breath test which allegedly returned a result of 0.282, almost six times over the legal limit for a full-licensed driver.

Also of concern to police the woman was driving with a young child in the vehicle.

The woman was reported for drink driving and breaching her interlock conditions and was issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence. She will be summonsed to attend the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
