Drug driver caught at Holden Hill

A man has been reported for traffic offences after being stopped at Holden Hill yesterday.

About 3.30pm on Monday 29 June, Police stopped a Mitsubishi ute on Bentley Drive after checks revealed the vehicle was unregistered. The driver was found to have a disqualified licence and had an outstanding warrant.

He was submitted to a drug test and allegedly returned a positive result to cannabis and methamphetamine.

A 57-year-old man from Holden Hill was arrested on the warrant and reported for driving disqualified, drug driving, and driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle. He was issued with a three-month instant loss of licence and his car was impounded for 28 days. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
