Two women will appear in court after being charged with a number of drug-related offences following a vehicle stop at Noarlunga Centre.
Just before 9.30pm on Tuesday 11 August, police stopped a silver Holden Barina on Seaman Road, after noticing one of the vehicle's headlights was not working.
While speaking with the occupants, police saw a large quantity of cannabis in the front passenger footwell. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered further quantities of cannabis, a substance suspected to be methamphetamine, prescription medication, drug paraphernalia including ice pipes, deal bags, and documents believed to relate to drug trafficking.
Police also seized the women’s mobile phones for further examination and analysis.
A 46-year-old woman and a 57-year-old woman, both from Huntfield Heights were arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled drug, possess a controlled drug and possess equipment for the consumption of a controlled drug.
They were bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 3 September.
