Man critically injured in Marion house fire

Emergency services were called to a property on George Street about 6.30am on Saturday 26 September following reports of a fire.

Metropolitan Fire Service crews attended and extinguished the fire, which was contained to a bathroom within the house.

A man in his 40s sustained serious burns and was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition.

Fire Cause Investigators attended to examine the scene.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the fire are ongoing. Police do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances.
