Drugs and cash seized at Highgate

A man and woman have been charged with drug trafficking following a search of a property at Highgate yesterday.
On Friday 25 September, officers from the Serious and Organised Crime Branch searched an address at Highgate.
Police will allege that, $72,595 cash, 3 kilograms of cocaine, 871 grams of ketamine, 385 grams of MDMA and 700 grams of cannabis were located at the property.
A 30-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking a commercial quantity of a controlled drug, two counts of trafficking in a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug and trafficking a controlled drug.
The pair were refused police bail and will appear before the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday 28 September.
Police also seized a Renault van, Suzuki SUV, and a large amount of jewellery and watches in connection with the offending under the Criminal Assets Confiscations Act 2005.
Detective Chief Inspector Philip Neagle, Serious and Organised Crime Branch, said the significant seizure highlighted the ongoing efforts of police to disrupt organised crime networks.
"This seizure demonstrates our commitment to targeting those involved in the trafficking of illicit drugs and dismantling the criminal networks behind their distribution."
