27 Oct 2026 7:26am

Police have arrested a man after refusing to comply with a breath test at Plympton last night.

About 10.15pm on Monday 26 October, police received information about an intoxicated man driving a Mazda sedan on Anzac Highway. The front tyre had blown and was sparking as it travelled on its rims.

Police approached the vehicle after the driver stopped at a nearby service station to change the tyre.

Officer directed the man to submit to a preliminary roadside breath test but he refused and was subsequently arrested.

A 19-year-old man from Royal Park was charged with failing to submit to a breath analysis, issued a twelve-month instant loss of licence and his vehicle was impounded. He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 18 December.
