Booze targeted in Morphettville sports club break-in

Two teenagers were arrested after allegedly breaking into a local sports club at Morphettville overnight.

Alarms were activated at the football clubrooms at Kellett Reserve, on Denham Avenue, Morphettville, about 1.30am on Sunday 4 May.

Police found a break-in at the clubrooms and two people near the building.  The pair ran off but were located a short distance away and apprehended.

A 17-year-old boy from Morphettville and a 15-year-old boy from Edwardstown were arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, theft and hinder police.

The younger boy was also charged with possess breaking implement and article of disguise and 
breach of bail and was refused police bail.  He will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court tomorrow, Monday 5 May.

The older boy was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on 19 June.

Crime scene investigators attended and examined the scene overnight.

The large quantity of alcohol stolen from the club was recovered and returned by police.
