Stabbing at Salisbury North

Police are investigating an assault at Salisbury North last night.

Emergency services responded to Quadrant Avenue, Salisbury North just after 8pm on Saturday 3 May after reports of an assault.

Patrols arrived and found a man with stab wounds in the front yard of a house.  The 37-year-old victim was taken to hospital where his injuries have been assessed as non-life-threatening.

Following investigations by Northern District CIB detective, two men were arrested around 1am.

A 33-year-old Parafield Gardens man and a 29-year-old Salisbury North man were charged with aggravated cause serious harm.  They were both refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court tomorrow, Monday 5 May.

Investigations are continuing, but it is believed the people involved are all known to each other and this was not a random incident.
