Man arrested for drug offences in the Northern Suburbs

On Tuesday 28 July, Serious and Organised Crime Task Force members conducted a drug search at a property at Surrey Downs.

As a result, numerous drugs including methamphetamine, MDMA, cannabis, fantasy, Suboxone strips (buprenorphine) and an extendable baton were located.

A 51-year-old man of the address was arrested and charged with trafficking in a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug, trafficking in a controlled drug and possess a prohibited weapon.

He has been bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on the 14 September.
