Police have arrested a man after his vehicle collided with a brick wall on Kings Road.

About 1am this morning (Friday 3 May) police attempted to stop a silver Mercedes sedan that was travelling at speed on Kings Road. When the patrol activated their emergency lights the vehicle sped away but the patrol did not pursue the vehicle.

A short time later the vehicle was located having crashed into a retaining wall at the intersection of Kings Road and Whites Road. Fortunately the driver was not injured.

Police arrested the driver, a 29-year-old man from Parafield Gardens for drive disqualified, speed dangerous, fail to comply with police direction and drive without due care.

The man has been refused bail and will appear in the Elizbeth Magistrates Court today.
