A driver will face court after blowing more than three times the legal limit following a crash at Salisbury.

Police were called to the intersection of Salisbury Highway and Commercial Road, Salisbury, about 9pm on Sunday 8 November, after a Porsche Cayman S collided with a Toyota Camry.

The driver of the Toyota, a 26-year-old Elizabeth South man, was not injured.

The driver of the Porsche, a 40-year-old Elizabeth South man, was also uninjured and underwent a breath test. He allegedly returned a positive result of 0.169, more than three times the legal limit.

The man was reported for drink driving, issued with an immediate 12-month loss of licence and fined $536 for failing to keep a sufficient distance from the vehicle in front.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
