A man has been charged with firearms offences following a police operation in the Murray Mallee.
On Sunday 6 July, members from Firearms Branch, supported by STAR Group and other specialist units, attended a property at Fisher, as part of an intelligence-led Firearms Act investigation.
During a search of the property, police located and seized two firearms, one of which was found in a loaded condition. Officers also seized a sound moderator and a quantity of ammunition.
A 42-year-old local man was arrested and charged with two counts of possessing a firearm without a licence.
He was bailed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court on 24 August. Investigations are continuing.
