Three drink drivers have been detected in the Limestone Coast over the past four days.
At about 7.15am on Friday 3 July, police attended the scene of a crash on Sisters Road, Moorak, where a Toyota ute collided with a Jeep SUV.
The driver of the Toyota, a 42-year-old Moorak man, underwent a breath test and returned a positive result of 0.278 - more than five times the legal limit.
He was reported for drink driving and traffic offences, issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence, and his vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date. #173787
At about 4.20pm on Friday 3 July, a 30-year-old Hatherleigh man was stopped by police while driving a Mitsubishi ute on Belt Road, Millicent.
He underwent a breath test and returned a reading of 0.094.
Of concern to police was that a four-year-old child was a passenger in the vehicle at the time.
The driver was reported for drink driving, issued with a six-month instant loss of licence, and his vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date. #174321
At about 4.45pm on Saturday 4 July, police stopped a Holden sedan on Kennedy Avenue, Mount Gambier.
The driver, a 41-year-old Mount Gambier man, submitted to a breath test and returned a reading of 0.082.
He was reported for drink driving, issued with a six-month instant loss of licence and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date. #175059
