High range drink driver crashes at Murray Bridge

A driver his lost his licence after crashing and being caught drink driving this afternoon.

Just after 2.30pm on Wednesday 10 June, police were called to Jarvis Avenue to reports of a Volkswagen sedan crashing into a Hyundai sedan.

Police attended and spoke with both drivers who were not seriously injured.

The driver of the Volkswagen, a 31-year-old man was submitted to a driver test where it will be alleged he returned a positive result of 0.344 – almost seven times the legal limit.

He was reported for drink driving, driving while disqualified, issued a 12-month instant loss of licence notice and the car was impounded for 28 days.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
