A man will appear in court after being caught drink driving in the Riverland last night.
About 10.30pm on Tuesday 22 April, police spotted a Toyota Landcruiser travelling on Aleppo Street at Loxton and stopped the car for a mobile driver test.
Check revealed the driver, a 27-year-old local man, was unlicenced, having never held one. He submitted to a breath test where he provided a positive result of 0.207 – more than four times over the legal limit.
He was reported for drink driving and driving unlicenced, he was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence and his car was impounded for 28 days. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
